Today is My Birthday!

birthdayI’m 23 years old today!

I will be spending the day with my friends in Philadelphia working on OnlyUp.org, a start-up organization that provides resources and advocates for non-profit employees under 30. We are submitting our idea during the Democracy 2.0 conference next weekend at the Philadelphia Convention Center for a $10,000 grant to move the project forward.

I started Entry Level Living to discuss my experiences as a non-profit newbie so I am excited to be part of a project that addresses some of the issues I have raised on a larger scale. I am happy to be spending my birthday working on this project (however there will, of course, be some debauchery ;-) )

If you want to celebrate my birthday with me, I’d love it if you would support OnlyUp.org

  • Sign Up! If you are under 30 and work in the non-profit sector, join OnlyUp.org to share your experiences and connect with others. We are still in the planning stages of the website however we welcome your membership!
  • Advocate! Let people know about what we are doing. Gather support for us and for young people in the non-profit sector.
  • Share! Have any thoughts about the project? Know of any resources related to funding and marketing? Have any concerns in general re: non-profit work? Voice them here or email me and as we develop OnlyUp.org we will keep your thoughts in mind.

Feel free to hit me up at ajlovesya [at] gmail [dot] com with any comments, questions, or birthday wishes. Or leave a comment.

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday Allison! I hope you enjoy your day.

Onlyup.org does quite interesting. I’m definitely an advocate for young people getting involved with nonprofit work so I’ll be keeping an eye on this budding organization.

Thanks for sharing and again, happy birthday!
